It's preventative care.
I hate beating around the bush on blogs.
I hate it when I go to someone's blog and have to scroll forever to get to what I actually wanted to read.
(It's usually a recipe with Reese's in it)
So I used to feel bad recommending preventative care.
My mom, an old school nurse, used to tell people, "my daughter is a chiropractor, but not one of THOSE chiropractors that make you come back for the rest of your life"
It made me cringe whenever she said it.
Because I WANT my patients to come back for the rest of their lives.
I just don't want them to be in pain when they do come back.
My wellness patients ARE coming back for the rest of their lives.
Because they want to.
They recognize that their bodies are constantly being bombarded with stressors and that maintenance chiropractic can help correct the problems that arise before they become debilitating pain.

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS E-MAIL SERIES!
I apologize for the all caps yelling at you.
But I am excited.
I went through these steps the last 2 years and my Advent/Christmas season was SO MUCH BETTER.
I made hot chocolate with the kids, sat by the fire, and relaxed.
There weren't a million things running through my head because I had already taken care of them in November.
And it was EASY!
If you'd like to join me this year and bring peace to your Advent/Christmas season use this link to sign up for the e-mail series.
For some reason in the fall sniffles and coughs always catch me by surprise,
It happens every year,
With everyone getting a little closer indoors
and the increase in sugar uptake
and decrease in physical activity, sunshine, fresh air,
it’s just a recipe for disaster.

ELDERBERRY this is stuff is amazing!
Chiropractic! Helps your body with immune response.
There is some evidence to support the claim that elderberry can help treat colds and flu.
A review from 2010 concluded that elderberries might have antioxidant and antiviral effects, though the authors state that more research is needed.
In one study, 60 people with flu-like symptoms took 15 milliliters (ml) of elderberry syrup four times a day. Their symptoms improved 4 days before the people who took a placebo.
Recommended dosages for Elderberry are:
Adults: 1 teaspoon...
I LOVE that snickers commercial, "You're not you when you're hungry"
I feel the same way about being tired...
or in pain...
We're chatting about the top 5 reasons people are so tired and I'm giving my best Dr. Mom advise to help.
Because Dr. Mom advice is way different than just Dr. advice.
So why are we SO tired?
The top 5 listed reasons are lack of sleep, poor diet, sedentary lifestyle, excessive stress, and medical conditions.
So, basically, you're tired because you're a mom, right??
There is hope though!
Some mom hacks that have helped me...
1. As adults, we're supposed to get 7 hours of sleep, plan to get woken up and shoot for 8-9 hours. Sometimes, you'll hit 7 then.
2. Eating late disrupts your sleep patterns. Try setting an alarm on your phone to remind you to stop eating after a certain time for a better quality of sleep.
3. If you're not counting chasing your kid everywhere as exercise, try going for a 10-minute walk after supper....
Pregnancy hormones work in mysterious ways. In some women, they bring on crying jags and a midnight craving to paint the nursery – or heck, the whole house! Other moms-to-be find themselves simply kicking back and enjoying the ride with an “It’s all good” attitude. Take the quiz to see if you're the prototypical pregnant woman or a bit of a pregzilla when you're expecting.
